I worked in restaurants and franchised a drive in and nikki hit it right on the head. It's because of being out or forgetting something on the order or big orders and it's busy I doubt see the problem of pulling into a slot for a minute, it's the long waits I don't like however, those restaurants that do that are doing the best they can. I wouldn't sweat it.
I've had to do that at other fast food drive thrus, and it usually means they are out of fries or chicken strips so they are making them fresh! I have only been to this location once, so I can't speak for thrum, but that's just been my experience in the past at other places!
