I confirmed that it does snow there during the month of December. I have never driven through snow before nor through mountains. Would you suggest me renting a car or just ubering around? I will be with about 6 people.

You'll want to rent so you can freely drive to the recreational area. People told me it was close but they lied, and I saw someone wait an hour for their shuttle once. I mean unless they were just pacing for an hour (with a baby) before they called which is unlikely.

IMO, go Uber. I did not think it was so rural as to not have reliable Uber service. Let someone else worry about the weather conditions.

Rent all wheel drive dont want to be limited to a uber unless u plan to go no where and stay at the place u need to buy groceries etc. So suggest rental
