What is the purpose of the strict dress code? We have a ward full of girls who need to buy new pants without holes to go camping. That seems a little extreme.

The camp has a lot of thick brush, the pants are to prevent injury, bug bites and sunburn. (I had the same concern as you when I went last year, but we were glad for the longer pants). Good luck and have fun!

Darren, that is a terrible response. So shorts are “extreme” and “inappropriate” clothing choices for women??? Do the boys wear shorts to their camps?? Hey Darren, how about you stay out of making clothing choices for girls. Why do they need to cover their calves? That seems weird that at an “ALL GIRLS” camp, the concern is that skin is showing. I have 4 boys, and there has never been an issue at High Adventure Camp (with all the ticks, bugs, snakes) going in shorts and EVEN *gasp* shirtless
