Hunting is not permitted on property but it is nearby. You will most likely rifle fire. I avoid it during deer season weekends because of that reason.
I'm not 100% certain. But I do know it's a conservation area, so it requires special hunting regulations. It is one of my favorite trails. There are beautiful cliffs off the trails that overlook the river. To get to the cliffs is a moderate hike, over an hour. It's worth checking out.
There is a sign up at the beginning of the trail warning of hunting season. We heard rifles when we walked the trail and heard a massive amount of guns going off from the gun range.
