There's a difference between accepting people as they are (we are all imperfect in some way) and supporting someone's choice to live in a way that is opposed to what God says. If we tear out any page of the Bible that offends anyone, would there be anything left to read? And if we did that we surely wouldn't know what I mean to be whole healed and follower
3 years ago we started attending because the minister repeatedly said they welcomed everyone. Last year he sent a letter clearly stating his commitment to the letter of the standing of UMC against LGBTQ+. We no longer support this church.
