Get a base sale bottom amount or no sale. The auction may have their own bidders and or a interest to buy cheep and sell later at a better percentage for the auction. Not saying that they are doing any of this nonsense but you cover your bases and think everyone is out there to make a buck. A set minimum sale amount is smart work. If not met. NO SALE.
I don't know if you can put a lock bid on it where it won't sell for less best to contact the auctioneer an let them know what you have or even contact art dealers
