Definitely. Without treatment, your dog could potentially lose her hearing, especially if the swelling is interior and not isolated to the pinna. Abbey Hospital is great and reasonably priced. Call as soon as they open. Appointments fill up quickly.

I'm not a vet, but in my experience the swelling in the ear is caused by the dog shaking her head. My dog had ear mites and was constantly shaking his head trying to get them out. It broke some blood vessel in his ear and the ear became swollen. I don't know if this is the case with your dog, but you need to go to the vet.
