Depends on why, where is the wound, how deep, are antibiotics, is continued treatment and follow up care required? These are questions that only the vet can determine after an exam and thorough evaluation.

Really if you think the puppy needs stitches take it to them. Don't let it get infected and die. I am sure they ccx will work with you to pay your bill.
