I am going to have a long wait at the bus station in New Orleans. My bus doesn't leave until 6:30pm and I have to check out of the hotel by 11am. Is there anything around there to do or any site seeing, museums, etc?

If you want to blow $$$ on trolleys and taxis to assure you get to the station on time, there'S always something in the French Quarter. However, the smart traveler would grab a newspaper or a book and sit at the station and read and wait for your bus assuring that you are there on time and the extra $50 you would blow trying to go sightseeing in such a small timeframe.

The hotel should have a list of current events, otherwise the local newspaper has listings!
