They rent them out during the On Season. If you have your own go for it... you won't get to the reservoir you can kayak on the lake. I would check with park rangers about the reservoir in theory you could walk the kayak down on one of the trails to get to the reservoir don't know how safe that is. Best wishes to you

Yes, you must wear a life jacket when on the lake. Check the signs by the lake for more information when you go, almost certain it is free and there are no other restrictions besides only being accessable during park hours.
