As far as the food I can't understand some of the other's comments here. I eat there often enough and I have always had great food as well as service there. Yes it's a pretty popular place for food reason. Reasonably priced really good food with generous portions. It's a rustic country style restaurant. If that's what you want then go there. If rustic country is what you find romantic go there. I'd recommend sitting in the dining room on the left side as sitting on the bar side where the kitchen entrance also is may get a little too busy if your intention is to have a more romantic dining experience. My wife and I have been there alone as well as with friends & family. I recommend it and think you will enjoy out too if you read the above and fell the same way I do.
I made reservations for xmass eve so maybe just to b safe
I don't think they take reservations unless you have a larger group. Also they normally do karaoke on Wednesdays. You might want to check that first, as it might not make for the most romantic atmosphere on Valentine's Day.
I would definitely recommend it
I would recommend a reservation just to be safe. The food is really good. I'm sure they won't have karaoke on Valentine's day. Seems like the general consensus is that you must over pay for a fancier place to be considered romantic. So to keep with the theme go waste your money in Sparta to show that special someone that money is no object when it comes to being packed in like sardines in a "romantic atmosphere" or maybe you need to go to NYC to show you really care.
I would look for a more romantic place if you are trying to impress that special one.. Yes karaoke is NOT quite romantic 😨😨
Not sure about reservations but last time I was there food was marginal and service was terrible. Better to take your money elsewhere
