It depends on the severity of the matting. Some matts can be combed out using a special dematting shampoo and conditioner, others that are too tight and cannot be combed out without hurting the animal during the process would need to be shaved out. Unfortunately matting that is very close to the skin, though not likely, COULD result in nicks/cuts. We suggest setting up a consultation with one of the groomers and when they can see the condition in person they'll be able to give you a better game plan on what your options are. Pricing depends on the breed and then any extra care would be an additional price ex. $10 for specialty shampoos/dematting etc.
We believe Chet has us mistaken for another business. We do not offer self service stations, we have experienced groomers that do a professional grooming for you. We are a center that offers grooming, boarding and daycare services, we are NOT a pet store.
No they don't do any dog care. You can wash your dog there only. Other than that it's a pet store.
