Carson, wrong, wrong, wrong! The zoo (AND botanical gardens) are lots of fun for all ages. We are in our 70's and our great-grandkids are 4 thru 7. We all have fun there. There are lots of programs for the kids and while it is not a big city zoo it is very nice for Evansville. We recently got a new rhino that they are going to breed here. As for the hills, yes, there's a lot of hills which can be really good if you're looking for good exercise or in our case, there is a very nice tram that goes all around the zoo. In the spring they have a fantastic plant sale where I buy a good deal of my plants for the summer. I guess it is all a matter of whether you look for the good in things or not. Try it out. I believe you can really enjoy it. P.S. They also have a great gift shop.
It's a smaller zoo but honestly it's a good time and a very clean zoo.worth the visit
Depends on your eye of beauty. My husband and I enjoyed just walking around with each other. It was cold when we went. I donated my prickly pear cactus, which I had bunches, for the tortoises. They let us in for the donation. It was just before Halloween, they had the place decorated and having a trick or treat for the children. A lot of the animals were put away for the winter but still seen many animals that could stand the cold. My husband and I had a blast just walking and looking at the animals and all the plant life. A zoo is just not about animals, look at the plant life. It was beautiful. But again, it depends on the beauty of your eyes. As for the hills people are speaking of, when you are admiring the place, you don't notice the hills. I am 55 and we walked around the zoo for 4-5 hours. Great exercise.
Not much honestly the animals are few and far between theres alot of hills to walk up to most likely get to an empty exhibit. The news carousel is fun for the kids but it's to little to late to save this once decent zoo.
If you're a young person today it might not be fun if you are addicted to electronics, like your phone. But then, neither is anything else.
It's a very nice zoo. We get a lot of exercise and our children love the animal exibits. They also have a small playground where the children can play.
I agree with the good reviews, the zoo is wonderful! They're are all sorts of sites and things to do!

Lol :) if you put down this zoo youre crazy or you need to go again. I went with someone who put down this zoo and went again a month ago and ate their words. This zoo is beautiful and very very clean. Its peaceful and animals are up close. I have been to zoos all over the country and this one is one of the best for sure.
