They are usually pretty crowded on Fridays. I would make reservations unless you don't mind waiting for a few minutes.

You do not need to make reservations. But due to the "holiday" weekend I would probably do so to ensure you have a table especially if you want to eat on your own schedule and not rush to when they open.
