When cancelling your application because the wait time is lengthy, you change you mind and you automatically lose your fee! Seems if you can't wait for the apartment, a person should not be penalized. Thanks

It should be illegal for them to charge for an application, after all, they're dealing with seniors on a fix income. Perhaps someone should contact HUD about that

Kari poor answer. Other communities send you a refund if you change your mind or find another apt sooner. Also I find the contact after two years odd.

While there is a non refundable fee to be placed on the wait list, if you move in this fee goes towards administrative expenses. No deposit is collected until an apartment has been leased. Not all of the apartments in this community are income-based.
