No you just go and you have three trys that day to pass just make sure you have anything you need like two forms of id and proof of res and ur good

Just what I wanted to know ! Never been in trouble but mine expired in 2012 and I haven’t had a car but I do now. They said I had to pay 16.80 for a permit 24 hours and then come back and your set .
