Call for pickup
I've been there several times to drop off but haven't ever called ahead. They're always seems to be someone at the open door waiting. I just stay in my car and back in. Regarding furniture, if they pick it up (this is true of St. Vincent de Paul and Maggie's Place as well), they want to inspect it first to make sure it's items they can use.

Before you want to drop off items, you have to call in earlier and tell them so they know. And when you come to drop the item(s) off, you go on the left side of the front, and they will help you take the stuff off. And after that, your trip is done.
