Myk is correct about the checkout time. If you don't check in by noon then anytime you spend until noon the next day, whether it be one hour or 24 hours, is still charged one day. Also, the front portion of the Silo building which faces away from the train tracks will most likely get filled quickly because that side does not hear or feel the effects of the train which is on the side that actually does face the tracks. We were not offered earplugs once we checked in. So, if you do intend to stay there, make sure that you ask for them if they do not offer them.
That would be 2 nights. I've experienced the train issue. The tracks are close enough to the building that it shakes as the train goes through. They know it is an issue because they offer ear plugs at check-in. I've posted pictures of the view of the tracks from my room window in the reviews. I regularly stay at La Quinta and usually love them. This one is just a bad spot because of the location of the tracks.
You will probably be charged for two nights. Check out is at 12pm. So 3am-12 is one day. And then Saturday afternoon until you leave Sunday.
Call and speak with the mgr as far as the silo building is concerned it's pretty cool it's definitely unique we find it very comfortable, but everyone has different taste so as long as you know before hand that it's different and you expect it ,it can go either way you'll either love or hate my family and I really enjoy staying there and find quite comfortable the walls are quite thick and the beds are very comfortable,
It depends what time you checkout Sunday. Before noon 1 night, otherwise 2. Also i stayed in the silo building and didn't hear the trains. The only way you can be disappointed is by having your expectations set incorrectly.
I believe train runs threw about every hour!! So don't stay there! You won't get any sleep!!
Go somewhere else. Hotel is so noisy with the train, you can't sleep. Rooms in new addition look like prison cells.
