The pictures made it look like it was a nice place, it was more of a Motel 6 (outside rooms). The main elevator wasn’t working, the room wasn’t vacuumed correctly upon arriving, the shower leak and I would suggest wearing shower shoes. The pool was dirty, granted it was late when we went down to the pool. We were there for a softball tournament and needed to use the laundry facilities but that was broken also. This is more of a one star facility.

Last night was awful. DO NOT stay in rooms 20~50, they are right next to the train tracks. The first time I thought aliens were invading, followed by an earthquake. It was like ragnarok was happening outside my window, shaking my bed and room, with a deafening noise - every hour - throughout the night. The is the worst sleep I've gotten at any hotel in my life. As a side note, the bathtub had rust stains, and other colorful stains I couldn't identify.

I guess people are used to thin dry wall structures, so the cement thick walls might looks like a prison to them. I really like it, not just how is looks but the privacy. Very clean, nice free breakfast and staff was super efficient. No complaints.

Part of this motel is in an old converted mill which we thought was cool. A guy at the front desk said he felt like he was staying in a prison because of the concrete walls. We didn't feel that way at all. It was just unique and interesting to my hubby and me. The room was clean and comfortable, but the mattress was a little hard and lumpy, but I slept okay. We stayed on the opposite side of the building from the train tracks. The area was a little sketchy with lots of young people hanging out and partying. Overall, we'd stay again.

Myk is correct about the checkout time. If you don't check in by noon then anytime you spend until noon the next day, whether it be one hour or 24 hours, is still charged one day. Also, the front portion of the Silo building which faces away from the train tracks will most likely get filled quickly because that side does not hear or feel the effects of the train which is on the side that actually does face the tracks. We were not offered earplugs once we checked in. So, if you do intend to stay there, make sure that you ask for them if they do not offer them.
