Anyone can go down without reservations to take pictures outside of the restaurant, smell, look at people eating their steaks and to wipe the drool off your face but if you want to sit down and eat, then reservations is highly recommended. I did see once, where once in a blue moon someone with a party of 6 didnt show up and someone was there to take 2 of those seats but most times that doesn't happen. Keep calling and someone will answer the phone during their open hours.
I recommend you to make a reservation, but if you do not have a reservation, you can go on the day and get in. I might wait quite a while. Good Luck
