Every child I've seen has had their own seat/ticket. I haven't seen any very small infants though. You should be able to contact the box office to double check since responses are conflicting.
Unfortunately yes, infants need a ticket. I've never really seen infants, I think most people get someone to watch the kids
No. However the environment may not be conducive to bringing an infant. Of course that depends on the event.
