I've been reading some of the rude comments made about Swift and I have to say its sounds like there are some disgruntel ex employee's that couldn't pass their CDL test, failed the drug test or had gotten fired for not living up to Swifts Safety Standards, My Husband just leased a Truck from Swift We Love The Company So Much We Decided To Keep Driving Under The Swift Banner, Just Please Don't Believe Everything You Hear About The Company, See For Yourself, I They Are a great Company to work for
Yes they have a three to four wk cdl training school. Can one of their recruiters an they will give you all the info. It is a no money up from training. Everyone qualifies for their no interest loan. School is $3800 an another $500 if you need housing while your there. They put you up in a hotel for that time. They do not provide meals so the hotels have a full size frig, a cook top and a microwave. My suggestion is to buy grocery for the month when you get settled in. You will be tired at the end of your day and not a lot of time to do much mon-fri. Training is early and long days. Like 6am to 4pm. You need to come in with your permit they will give you the dot physical. They rd test you on their own property with their own staff

Yes Swift does train you for your cdl. They use to have a training station in Tennessee. But please make sure that you are in good health. That you do not have high blood pressure, or diabetes. Because they will send you home. Happy training! 😆

You must have your "learners permit" before you can go to the swift academy. This consists of only the written part of the test depending on which state you live in. After that you will go 3 weeks of learning the basics of how to drive the truck. Then you will be road tested where if you pass then you'll be given your actual CDL.
