Once you complete 6months solo otr no incidents then you can have a rider

Depends on your experience level and what type of driver owner OP, lease , or company driver, new company is 6 months because of training, out with a trainer and then solo without any problems.

After 6 months

Its 6 the old hand book I believe says 3months but they changed it to 6mo

I believe you need 6 months experience. Maybe 3, but pretty sure it's 6.
