I wasn't allowed to join because the front desk personal had better things to do than to explain the enrollment process to me so me and my group went back to the gym formally known as gold's gym.

They allow younger than 18 if supervised by an adult, and I can't remember the exact cut off, but I think it's 13. I know I've seen some kids who were way too young in my local branch.

You'll have to call them because I know that there's liability involved in all gym centers. The problem is not wanting them to go but the risks of having accidents with equipment and not being covered for them. Just get unformed.
