Merri, that was the name of the original farmstead.
By the same token that expensive car would be called "prestigious" by bamboozle dealer. It moves your focus from practical to emotional. In this case they probably wanted to come up with "prestigious" catchy name rather than calling it Orchad town or even worse - Doggville. :)
