As a newbie to peaceful tropical aquariums, I asked for advice on a bottom feeder for my 20Gal tank in this store. They gave me two skunk botias. I read that they can be aggressive to peaceful fish. What do I do?

I witnessed them attack and kill one of my platys, and I read they are only peaceful if you buy at least 4 or have other semi aggressive fish in the tank with it. May i return them before more of my fish die? I thought the other fish ate one of the botias since it never comes out, but I finally saw it in the worst time possible.

Skunk botias are generally a peaceful fish . like all living things however, somebhave different personalities than others.

You can always take them back. Pay the difference. See if they have the kind u researched
