If it hasn't been spayed or neutered they will do that for you before letting your fur baby come home and depending on the day of adoption will happen that day. I recently adopted a puppy, on a Sunday, and was able to bring her home the next day after her spay surgery.
Unless there is a hold, medical issue or it is a brand new intake you will be able to being your new fur baby home the same day! Congratulations!
