I do not know if there is any legal restriction on doing so. However, when you wash in your driveway, the contaminants (detergents, oils, dirt, etc.) normally wash in to the local streams and waterways, eventually leading to the Chesapeake Bay. It is better to wash your car in a professional car wash. Some of our waste water is recycled. The balance of it is pre-treated before it goes in to the public sewer system, which is later treated further. I hope this answer helps! Thank you for your question!
Of course you can wash your car on your own property. Unless there is water conservation by the county. Recommend you use car soap that is biodegradable. But also check with your HOA. Some neighborhoods may restrict car washing.
