Flights generally start boarding about 45 minutes before the scheduled flight time. Ed Bradley there are a few peak times for the security line but usually if you give yourself 10 minutes to get through the line that should be enough. If you have an e ticket then you literally have to walk up to the kiosk and print out the ticket get in line and then walk to your gate. A rule of thumb is 2 hours, but at Bradley you can probably do an hour and 20 minutes safely.

what time does the airport open?

Berzelius Paragot | Jul 10, 2018

If you precheck in online, and aren't checking bags, 90 minutes is plenty of time. I would give closer to 2 hours when checking bags in case they are busy. When things are running smoothly, those amounts of time will leave you waiting to board for a bit, but it isn't hard to know when they will be busy.
