Yes you apply over the phone you need to let them know your in a wheelchair, and that you have special needs
A friend recently moved in with me (5-6 months ago) I thought it would be for a short time, however now she says she doesn't want to move back in living with her daughter and granddaughter. I am widowed at 73 for 1 and 1/2 years now living on Social Security, and a part time babysitting job trying to make ends meet. My friend is 86, 87 in September. She has to use a walker to get around and frequently falls. Another friend recently built her an inexpensive ramp which is not safe at all. Now I'm fearful she will fall on or off the ramp and really get hurt or death will occur. Members of my church are willing to build a less steep sturdier ramp, but I don't have the income to purchase the materials to have it built to code. I was wondering if there is some agency that could help me or her to be able to get down from my porch safely? Neither of us are on food stamps or any other governmental program than Social Security. If there is, how might I get in touch with them?
You can apply at yourtexasbenefits.com and yes you can do everything over the phone and the free YTB Mobil app
