It's not a moving violation but they can damn sure pull you over for it. A word of advice about Kaufman & Kaufman County obey the traffic laws and if you do get stop record everything with your phone
Ms Jones, if you just moved here to Texas, from another State, then I can probably understand your frustration. But if you have lived in Texas, then YOU KNOW, without a shadow of a doubt, that your inspection coincides with your registration sticker, they can pull up this, once your pulled over. But if I'm correct, (you have 5-10 days after inspection expires to get it renewed) BUT bc it coincides with your registration sticker, you have to get your inspection done before you can get your registration sticker, you also have to show financial responsibility (Current Insurance on the vechile you are driving). So if you have lived in Texas, you already know this, and you CANNOT drive with a expired inspection. But yes, it's not a moving violation, but you can be ticketed for it. I'm not saying you, but a lot of people misinterpret the officers intentions of how they handle a situation if it doesn't go their way. BUT Always follow the laws regardless what State.
