You can return to store,if need you can get new one in store
You do not need a return label. Just tell them your modem doesn't work and that you would like a new one. They should be able to give it to you right there. Don't forget to take your old one. Option #2 is to call Xfinity and tell them your issue and they can tell you what to do from there
If you bought from comcast you return it to them. If you bought from a store you return it the store
