An evaluation is not required before sentencing per state law ive already been sentenced in kane county and i have a year to get my evaluation dine is what my court papers say
Per state law a DUI evaluation is required prior to sentencing for a DUI arrest. The evaluation takes approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours and is usually ready within 1 or 2 business days but we can if needed complete the evaluation sameday with prior notification. Prior to your evaluation appointment you will obtain a "court purposes" driving record at a local Secretary of State drivers facility. It is available over the counter for $12.00 and you do need to bring identification since it is a privileged document. When you come in we will make a copy of the "Notice of Summary Suspension" this is the big white piece of paper the police officer gave to you to drive on. You will fill out some forms and then talk to a counselor for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Afterwards the counselor will inform you of the classification level, the clinical reasons which resulted in the classification and recommendations. You will not be required to begin any recommendations unless the court mandates it.
What that means is,it shows you what level u are .fyi there are 3 levels. Sorry to hear that &good luck with that
