Why do Walmart have employees stop shopper when they exit the store to check receipts. This is harassment this was not there policy. Sam clubs yes but not Walmart and it’s not all Walmart just certain area. It’s very frustrating

I can answer for THIS STORE only, the reason for the receipt check at the door is because in the last 8-10 months the THRIFT rate in this store is outrageous!!! The employees at the door are just doing what they have been told to do, I understand that it is frustrating but in that kind of neighborhood what can you really expect

Legally they cannot. Sam's can because you enter into a contract when you purchase a membership. There is no such contract with Walmart so technically they are not allowed to

Well they should close it down. Because they think they stopping theft it’s still goes on and they can’t catch it! Maybe they should rethink how they operate and try something different. Because having people stand at the door holding people up is NOT THE ANSWER!!!! Maybe should take some pointers from Sam’s Club!!
