why do you put a hold on credit cards for $100.00, when charging gas sale for $18.00?. I check with your customer service, and was told my bank puts the hold. My bank said they had no reason to hold $100.0 for $18.00.

The gas station decides the amount of the hold and the bank decides the length of the hold , this is done to help the gas station protect themselves from fraudulent charges at the pump. You can use your card inside at the cashier and there's no hold put on the card.

That's crazy! Maybe because of fraudulent activities and it's outside. Really don't know an answer but please post a logic reason when you find out.
