Reading is FUNdamental! Acceptable items include: Plastic bottles and containers, milk or juice cartons, aluminum or metal cans, paper and corrugated cardboard (please flatten boxes before recycling), glass bottles and jars. For more information on recycling right, visit the Recycling page.
I don't think you can recycle the broken the glass because of it being a safety hazard. However, you can do a project with the broken glass or take it a bottle bank that will accept the broken glass. If none of those options work than the last resort will be to put the broken glass in a bag, possibly double bag and label saying broken glass and toss it in the trash.
I don't believe glass like that is accepted check the QC web site. I see it's says no glass other than food jars.
