The answer the shop provided is the best answer, it helps to understand the reasoning. Thanks for being so detailed. My son just got into skateboarding (brings back great memories) so I am sure we will be bu there soon!
We allow skateboards, quads, scooters and rollerblades. BMX night was a go for almost 3 years being first Sat of every month from 9pm-12am. A 3-hour bikes only session, plastic pegs or no pegs. It was $20 per rider in an effort for us to hit our normal private party rental of $300 for an after-hours 3 hours park rental. Unfortunately, although they started out very strong over the years and months they faded and less an less BMX riders attended. When I asked around about what was up, I was told that some people in the BMX community believed they should not be supporting a skateboarding focused business. At that point we continued to try the monthly BMX night, but eventually had to call it was the attendance had faded out. The BMX community decided to no longer ride here. Various factions within the local subculture of BMX decided it wasn't worth their $20 and so we brought the event to a close.
Because it tears up the ramps if everyone wasn't just learning on. The bikes it may not me so bad...but why no rollerblades?! That is the question?! Are they to fast?
