When I go to Vegas, I make it the area to stay in. I have never had a problem there. I know that because of covid-19 some of the children areas were taped off. It's a good place to get your exercise on. There is also 2 dog parks. Once when I was there, there was a hot balloon in the park. It's a good place for family outings.
Yes...its safe...lot of things to do, the lake, the geese, play areas for the kids....why wouldn't it be " safe to walk around this area?"
If you have kids then a definite yes. Go there. Took 3 different trips to see the whole park. And yes it is safe. Only family's with kids are there security does a good job keeping homeless and rift raft away.
Of course it's safe and 2 fog parks, a pond, volleyball, skateboard park and so much to do there. Your safe.
