I'm sure they could have used the water for more important things, like eventually treatment and drinking 🚰.
Agree, fence ruins experience. I know it is for safety reasons, but fence won't stop idiots
Are you asking about the tiny reclamation pond? Not sure who would confuse that as a lake. But the reason it has a fence around it is that it's filled with reclaimed wastewater. Some people might not have the common sense to stay out of the reclaimed water, so a fence is around it for your protection.
The fence didn't hinder our gathering in the slightest. In fact we were just in awe with the beauty and the tranquility surrounding the entire park to notice. Our group of 38+ had a wonderful time. I guess you don't have to visit there, maybe Sunset Park on Eastern and Warm Springs is more your style as the lake doesn't have a fence.
