Each cart has a total weight limit of 300 pounds--this can be two adults if that weight limit is capable. If you do have to take separate carts, you are required to keep at least 80 feet distance from other carts for safety.

I am not sure about two adults riding together but I saw one parent and one kid riding together on same ride. To the best of my memory they do offer something where 2nd person will control the brakes to slow down or stop and first person just enjoys the ride. Two rides has to be 80 ft apart but under emergency circumstances you can completely stop and their crew will come to help. I wanted to ride fast but my wife was before me and she was scared and riding very slow. I had to break multiple times to maintain 80 ft safe distance.
