Would not be a good hike with a 4 year old now. Snowy, icy and slippery. After an easy flat walk for .3 mile, it climbs 825 feet in a mile. Definitely need crampons and some poles, especially coming down. Great kid hike in warmer, non snowy weather.
It can get fairly steep at times and is covered in snow. The entire hike is 3.2 miles up and down. Hope this helps. Depends on the 4 year old. My initial instinct is no, it's not good for a 4 year old.
