I wouldn't recommend hiking without your dog! Just make sure they stay on path amd dont mess with any wildlife or vegetation and are cleaned up after! I passed many dogs on my hike :)

Yes. Bring a bag to clean up after your dog and be sure to keep the dog leashed and walking only on rocks when above treeline.
