We went there for traditional time breakfast. Seemed like a long line but it took about 29 minutes from Jackson Square gate. We we're first timers also. Well worth the wait.
I've never seen a line, plenty of seating
It really depends on when you go. The line usually moves relatively fast as it is a rather large place. There is some seating inside and people tend to forget about that or don't know about it. So if it is packed walk inside the building and you may be surprised to find open tables inside the building.
Go there late night or very early am...No lines
