Why do they give you your check right after they bring out your food? It makes me feel like they don't want us to sit & enjoy our meal, but want us to leave right then. This is one of my biggest complaints about Cracker Barrel's chain.

Most Cracker Barrels are near very busy highways. The bulk of their customers are in a hurry to get to their destination but want to stop and eat a meal and take a break for just a short while. Dropping the ticket early is just so you can leave when you want without having to track down your server.

I used to work at a Cracker Barrel. They train servers to do that. Always feel free to take your time or order something else if you want. Servers don't mind!
