How long they keep a vehicle and the pin before they put in the yard there 2 pickup been in the pin for over 1/2 year

That is somewhat correct. They must have clear ownership of the vehicle but then there is a further process they must wait for as they have to have the vin entered as a salvage vehicle so they can crush whats left. From there then it's processed i.e. fluids drained etc.

My understanding is until the title is cleared
