Yes. They aren't always needed, but they do several very popular shows every year and they do tend to run out of space during some of those.

I'd highly recommend it just to avoid running into the possibility of a sellout. This is especially the case for artists who come to Chicago regularly who have quite a following those shows can sell out rather quickly within a two month time span
