Get them there, it's about a 3 minute ride up and maybe 1 minute down... if you want a fun trip look for ALPINE roller coaster in pigeon forge... We used that 2 years ago and was much happier with that one. They use a wind screen so you can ride in any weather (we rode in the rain lol)
You can just walk up and get tix without issue. Having the tickets beforehand won't save you any time. The ride is maybe 3-5 minutes? Hard to tell. A ton of fun tho!

No need to buy them online unless u have a good deal. It's a pretty quick 3 min ride.
