Absolutely. You can get on track with NJMP's own track days, organizations like NASA, SCCA, BMW Club, Porsche Club, and many others, in addition to the Drivers Club membership, which I am a part of. Each organization has technical and safety requirements. The best place to start is using MotorsportsReg.com, or calling the track itself. The season starts in early March. Note, you will need to buy or rent a full-face SNELL 2010 or newer helmet. For a normal car, the two must do things are using brake pads designed for racing, and flushing the brake fluid to use DOT 4, instead of the normal DOT 3 type. Some cars, usually Porsche or high end sports cars, may use DOT 4. DOT 3 fluid will boil and cause your car to not brake! If you are new to track days in general, I recommend that you go with either the track's own days, a NASA Northeast event, or BMWCCA event, as these organizations are outstanding when it comes to education and training.
