The Farm has a rotation of volunteers. We have volunteered many times and it's been a great experience for our family. You'd have to ask Gil, but my Littles are elementary aged. They can only do feedings and other simple tasks, but teens can muck stalls, pack hay, and drive in water, and exercise the horses. Get on the list, but it's not paid. All proceeds of this farm go directly to the animals.
There isn't an age limitation per say. The Farm staff will find age appropriate ways for any to help volunteer, even if it's just on a one-time basis. If you do volunteer, make sure you log your hours so that the Farm can continue to have appropriate staffing, get more funding, etc.!
We do first time Volunteer training every Wednesday night (@ 7:30-9:00 p.m.). Children under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by a parent. Contact The Farm via phone (801-706-8189) to get all your questions answered.
