You can receive cards, fresh flowers are not a good idea because of some patients such as transplant patients cant be around fresh flowers so out of respect of the others I would say no.

My husband has esophogeal cancer and is scheduled for surgery next week.Can I stay at Hope Lodge while he is in the hospital or it mainly for patients undergoing chemo? We live 2 hours away so I cannot make the drive back and forth on a daily basis.

I put this question in the answer section by mistake but what I was saying is I am really worried for my husband, he is the patient. He has Major Anxiety when he is in a group of ppl. Avoids it if at all possible. He doesn't eat in front of anyone
